Tour program
Day 1. Arrival and rest
Meeting at the airport and a comfortable transfer to the hotel, where you can check in and rest after the flight. Lunch and dinner are included in the program from the very first day.
Day 2. The heart of the capital
Today you'll enjoy a sightseeing tour of Moscow, during which you'll see the capital's most iconic sights. The highlight of the day will be a visit to the Moscow Kremlin — the very heart of Russia, from where the president addresses the country with a New Year's greeting every year. Then you'll immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Maslenitsa festivities at the festive fair and try the legendary ice cream at GUM!
Day 3. Moscow of the aristocrats
Today you'll enjoy a walk along one of the most aristocratic streets in Moscow and a visit to a luxurious palace, within whose walls Leo Tolstoy worked on his world-famous novel "War and Peace." Then you'll stroll along the legendary Old Arbat, drop into souvenir shops, uncover the secrets of this famous street, and have lunch at a restaurant serving traditional Russian cuisine. And in the evening you'll get acquainted with the modern cultural life of Moscow — a visit to an exhibition at the trendy art space GES-2.
Day 4. Tropical Moscow
On the fourth day of the trip you'll immerse yourself in a tropical atmosphere in the middle of Moscow's winter! You'll enjoy a walk through the tropical greenhouses of the Botanical Garden, founded by Peter the Great. In the afternoon you'll visit the legendary Sandunovsky baths — a true architectural masterpiece. On the tour you'll learn how the luxurious bathhouse interiors, reminiscent of a royal palace, became a symbol of Moscow's bathing culture.
Day 5. The modern capital
Did you know that the futuristic Moscow City district was built on the site of a former sand quarry? This and many other facts you'll get to learn today. Then at the pier a river tram will be waiting for you, which runs on the water like public transport at any time of the year. After a hearty lunch you'll head to Mosfilm — the largest film studio in Europe, where films and TV shows are still being made to this day.
Day 6. Celebrate Maslenitsa
Today you'll have a day full of vivid impressions! First you'll head to the ancient town of Borovsk, famous for its unusual frescoes, and then you'll immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Maslenitsa — the traditional Russian holiday marking the farewell to winter and the welcome of spring. Russian folk festivities, merry games, fragrant pancakes, and round dances to Russian folk songs await you. On a tour of the "Ethnomir" park you'll get to know the daily life and traditions of the peoples of Russia, and in a master class you'll create a Maslenitsa amulet — a memorable souvenir made with your own hands.
Day 7. In the underground palace
In the morning you'll rest at the hotel after an eventful day. In the afternoon a tour of the underground museum awaits you. You'll visit the most beautiful stations of the Moscow metro, admire the mosaics and stained-glass windows, and learn why tourists call it an "underground palace".
Day 8. Flight over Moscow
In the morning you'll enjoy a walk through Zaryadye Park, where you'll learn how a former vacant lot in the center of Moscow was transformed into a modern space. You'll visit a taiga area and take striking photos on the famous Floating Bridge with a view of the Kremlin. Then you'll set off on a thrilling virtual journey, "Flight over Moscow," where thanks to moving seats and special effects you'll feel as if you're soaring above the capital. And in the evening the Tretyakov Gallery awaits you — a treasury of Russian art, home to masterpieces by great artists.
Day 9. Sun of Moscow
Today you'll enjoy a walk through VDNH — one of the most beautiful exhibition complexes in Moscow. You'll see the famous fountains and an interactive model of the capital. At the "Slovo" museum you'll learn about the history of Slavic writing, and in the historical exhibition you'll learn about the baptism of Rus. And to make the impressions last, you'll go to look at the city from a bird's-eye view on "Sun of Moscow," the largest Ferris wheel in Europe.
Day 10. Departure
On the last day of the trip, breakfast and lunch included in the program await you. A transfer to the airport will be arranged for each participant. You'll head home with a suitcase full of vivid impressions and warm memories!
A visa is required for a trip to Russia. It is NOT included in the price of the excursion program. You need to arrange it yourself.
If you're coming as a pair, we'll accommodate you in a double room — with twin beds or one large bed. If you're traveling alone, we can place you with another participant, or, for an additional fee, provide a single room.
In March it's still cold in Russia. Bring warm boots, a jacket, a hat, a scarf, mittens, and thermal underwear so you can comfortably walk during excursions and at Maslenitsa. The tour has many warm indoor places where you can warm up.
The language will be determined after the group is assembled. You will be accompanied by a professional guide-interpreter.
Comfortable accommodation
Accommodation in a comfortable 3* hotel next to one of the most beautiful recreation spots in Moscow. The room has all the amenities, a double bed or two separate beds, a refrigerator, and a safe.
A word from the General Director
My name is Vyacheslav Aksyonov, and I'm the head and ideological inspirer of the company "Mercury." We started in 2013 by selling ready-made tours, and then began creating our own routes across all of Russia, not forgetting our native Kaluga region. The Maslenitsa tour to Moscow was born from the same idea — to show guests the real Russia, with its holidays, history, and people. We are friendly, polite, efficient, and always honest with our guests.

A Message from Our Tour Manager
My name is Alisa, and I'm a manager at the company "Mercury." I think through every detail of the tour, from the program and the sights to our favorite guides, down to the smallest detail. I designed the tour so that you can see Russia from different sides. The highlight of the tour will be the main Russian holiday, because it's precisely at Maslenitsa that you can truly feel the Russian spirit!
